After I obtained my degree in Applied linguistics in the late 90s, I came to the US and obtained another degree in information systems. After a few years working in the air travel industry utilizing both my computer software and language skills, I decided to go back to my original passion for languages. I started providing Arabic consulting services to entities both in the public and private US sectors, including a Silicon Valley giant and various translation and language services agencies.
Over the last fifteen years, I have been rendering professional Arabic language services to include translation, interpretation, curriculum development and language Arabic assessment. I am also a certified speaking proficiency tester in Modern Standard Arabic and the Maghrebi dialect.
I geek out on linguistics and Natural Language Processing (NLP) and find it quite a fun and fascinating field.
I am here to share useful information about learning Arabic with current and prospective Arabic language students and motivate the public to learn this beautiful language.
